Get to Know: The Giving Bride
Tell us about your brand and your business model.
The Giving Bride is modern wedding lingerie. We create all of our products ethically in New York and a portion of the profits goes to a domestic violence shelter outside of Chicago.
What drove you to start your own label? And what have you enjoyed the most so far?
I’d always wanted to work in fashion and as I was going to my friend’s bachelorette parties I noticed there was a gap in the market around wedding lingerie. I love the creative part of designing, of course, but it’s also so wonderful to hear someone say that my product made them feel amazing.
What are one or two big goals you’re focusing on in the next 6 months?
Right now the biggest goal is expanding into boutiques in new regions and growing our customer base.

My brand originally started off as soft lace lingerie for petite and small busted women. All items are hand made and currently direct to consumer through our website. The designs have a feminine and slightly cheeky feel and look to them. I have slowly been developing a range of bridal lingerie and with that a collection of wedding garter which will all be launched later this year.
La Vie en Orange is for people who see the sunshinier side of life. We think clothes should be fun and eco-friendly and there's no better place to start than your undies. We make underwear for women, men, and transgender folks (or just for gender play) out of repurposed tshirts.
