Get to Know: Clementine Divine
Tell us about your brand and your business model.
My brand originally started off as soft lace lingerie for petite and small busted women. All items are hand made and currently direct to consumer through our website.
The designs have a feminine and slightly cheeky feel and look to them. I have slowly been developing a range of bridal lingerie and with that a collection of wedding garter which will all be launched later this year.
What drove you to start your own label? And what have you enjoyed the most so far?
I started out when I couldn’t find any bras for my size that weren’t full of non removable padding. I always loved textiles so I decided to create a simple triangle bralette with matching french knickers. I started making a few more odd pieces and posted the process on Instagram. I began receiving inquiries from people asking to purchase the items, so I created my first collection.
What I enjoy the most is the creative process. Playing around with the materials until something comes to mind and finally seeing the finished piece on a model or customer.
What are one or two big goals you’re focusing on in the next 6 months?
My first goal is to get the Wedding Garter and Bridal Collections launched. My second goal is to approach several bridal boutiques with hopes of getting some wholesale accounts.
