Get To Know: SixChel
Tell us about your brand and your business model.
SixChel is sustainable and ethical fashion that empowers women to design and style the garment before they make their purchase.
What drove you to start your own label? And what have you enjoyed the most so far?
After years spent building my own fashion label from the ground up, a family tragedy led me to reevaluate life – and business – as I’d always known it. I closed that company, and spent one year creating a new brand focus on apparel that’s made ethically and as sustainably as possible. The most enjoyable aspect so far has simply been to just have the opportunity to do what I love while contributing to improvements on social issues that will make our future.
What are one or two big goals you’re focusing on in the next 6 months?
With the release of our first collection, we look forward to pop-up shops and speaking engagements within the next few months. SixChel is also preparing for the creation of their next collection.

The REMY brand focuses on bright colors, rich textures, and stylish comfort. Many pieces are one size and all are made in limited runs keeping them unique. We believe that life is beautiful and meant to be explored. The business model is to launch new pieces in limited runs to test them out through our brick and mortar store in Nantucket and pop up in Boston. Then we add successful pieces to our website and promote them through trunk shows and social media.
