Get to Know: Colorado Hemp Clothing
Tell us about your brand and your business model.
Pure. Basic. Natural. Colorado Hemp Clothing is good for you and good for Mother Nature. CHC is all about basics. My aim is to bring hemp clothing into the mainstream and ideally to have people wear hemp every day. I sell my clothing online and I am reaching out to other cannabis product manufacturers to use my pieces as logo wear. Our clothing is made in Denver and I am targeting customers who look for clothing that is made in the USA.
What drove you to start your own label? And what have you enjoyed the most so far?
I bought a few pieces of hemp clothing that were nice, but just not my style. I really do wear hemp every day. I have enjoyed meeting so many people who are Apostles of Hemp and who believe, as I do, that hemp can save the universe.
What are one or two big goals you’re focusing on in the next 6 months?
I need to increase my production to bring down my costs and I want to line up my design and production schedule to better fit into retail seasons so that I can get into boutiques. I would also like to put together a hemp apparel consortium from where we will sell all of our different styles, support each other’s endeavors, and educate the public about the many benefits of wearing hemp. I am also working some meaningful art onto my clothing.
